I'm glad you acknowledge that this exists, because this type of mistrust ruined my marraige, my finances, has gotten worse in the aftermath- the person to whom I was married continues to accuse me of terrible things I never did, to tell false stories to police authorities, to friends and family & on sites like this. It's taken it's toll on me, I don't trust like I used to, and I don't really enjoy my life anymore. What was my source of happiness, my reason for being is worse than gone, it's turned on me. And it happens to men - I am a man - We can be victims as well, although that in itself is not easy to admit. - men feel pain, humiliation, sadness & loss as well - hopefully this will help some of you not be so quick to judge.
